| Introduction | Food additive quinoline yellow as a synthetic food pigment, bright color, low price, therefore, it is widely used by food manufacturers. Quinoline yellow is a water-soluble azo synthetic pigment, which is commonly used in the UK for ice creams, fruits, cakes, chocolate, bread, cheese sauce, soft drinks and other food coloring. Because the pigment may lead to ADHD in children, Japan, the United States and Norway are banned in food, while China only allows to add in the preparation of wine, and the maximum use of 0.1g/L. |

Method summary use phosphate buffer solution (pH = 7) for quinoline yellow sample after dissolving, diluting the volume, at the maximum absorption wavelength, measure the absorbance value to calculate its content. 2. Preparation of sample solution weigh about 0.25g of Quinoline Yellow sample (accurate to 0.0001g), dissolve it in appropriate amount of phosphate buffer solution, and transfer it into a 1000mL volumetric flask, dilute to scale with phosphate buffer solution and shake. 10ml was aspirated, transferred into a 250ml volumetric flask, diluted to the mark with phosphate buffer solution, and shaken until use. 3.
